IC-trace implements automated InterCompany Tracing in several production sites

About the project

Being a manufacturer of a wide range of smoked and boiled ham, bacon, different kinds of boiled sausages and meat loaf, our client has become an important player in the meat industry. In a separate new plant, the client manufactures specific halal certified products.

In order to maintain their position as a family business and prepare for growth, they are investing in the complete automation of both plants, to replace the existing outdated software and automate the new site.

This is the perfect challenge for Food IT-Solutions and our software solution, IC-trace. IC-trace enables production sites to automate their entire supply chain, from procurement planning for raw materials to goods reception, warehousing, production and shipping.

Together with the management team all procedures were set up in IC-trace, including full integration of weighing and labelling units and testing to ensure everything ran smoothly. The company’s employees were involved in designing the flow and received customised training.

Since both companies are affiliates, we provided intercompany shipping options via the automatic goods reception module ‘InterCompany Tracing’. This is an exceptional IC-trace tool allowing you to automatically and correctly comply with all traceability regulations without any hassle.
